FDR and the "Alphabet soup" agencies

1934, Author unknown
This political cartoon displays FDR surrounded by a circle of school children dancing around him. The children have abbreviations on their shirts' which represent some of the organizations that FDR created as part of the New Deal. These organizations were ment to help the US during the Great Depression. In this picture, the kids look to Roosevelt as their leader or as someone they look up to; that is because FDR created the organizations and took care of them as if they were his "kids".
